About the Founder
Originally by trade Jake Hug was a Firefighter/ EMT for the Lansing, MI FD. The recession forced a career change in 2008. He now brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in the industrial services industry. He started as a roofing laborer and worked his way up to foreman, estimator, service and sales manager overseeing everything from leak calls to major roof system installs across the region.
In the industrial cleaning space, Jake worked with one of Nation's top providers, holding key roles in project management, business development, safety, and training. That experience both in the field and in leadership shaped his approach to doing business: be honest, do it right, and stand behind your work.
Why I started This:
After years in commercial roofing, cleaning, and safety compliance, I realized I wanted to lead rather than follow....I tend to do things my own way which is why starting my own company made sense.. That’s why I started JJ Industrial to build a company focused on safety, quality, and doing things the right way. We’re your go-to team for industrial services, handling everything from the building’s most critical part the roof to the most valuable assets: your people and equipment.

Job Overview:
We’re looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Sales Representative to drive business growth across our industrial services division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and being directly rewarded for their performance.
You’ll own the customer relationship from initial contact to proposal, but all sales must receive final review and approval by ownership prior to contract signing. This ensures alignment on scope, pricing, and service capacity.

What You’ll Do:

Service Lead
Location: Northeast/ Central OH
Compensation: Based on experience + mileage reimbursement + customer referral bonus
Job Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Lead Service Technician to manage day-to-day jobsite operations, perform high-quality roofing and repair work, and guide a small team on-site. As Tech 1, you’ll be the point person for customer interactions, quality control, and job completion. You’ll also have the opportunity to earn revenue sharing for bringing in new business.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead all on-site work including repairs, installations, and inspections

Serve as the main point of contact for customers during service
